K-State’s Marcus Foster chosen Big 12 basketball rookie of the week
Kansas State’s Marcus Foster was chosen Big 12 rookie of the week Monday after scoring a team-high 17 points in the Wildcats’ 74-71 upset of Oklahoma State.
Foster, a 6-foot-2, 200-pound guard, also scored 15 points in a win over George Washington last week. He also made two three-pointers, grabbed a season-high eight rebounds and blocked a shot against the Cowboys on Saturday.
He leads Kansas State in scoring at 14.0 points per game, double-digit scoring games with 12, field goals with 65 and three-pointers with 29.
The Wildcats, 11-3 and 1-0 in the Big 12 play at TCU at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
