TNT Sports filming an all-access documentary on Kansas State football this week

A camera crew accompanied Kansas State football coach Chris Klieman to his news conference on Monday.

They were sent to town by TNT. For the next few days, they will follow Klieman and many other members of the K-State roster around campus to film a mini-documentary about the Wildcats, which will air at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday as a precursor to the Sunflower Showdown in Lawrence on TNT.

It will also be available to watch on truTV and HBO Max.

“They’re doing a little documentary on K-State football as we speak right now,” Klieman said. “I’m so happy to have them, and I’m happy for the partnership that the Big 12 has with TNT. ... It’s a great thing to showcase the Big 12 and to showcase the schools in the Big 12.”

The mini-documentary is part of a season-long series that TNT is producing on Big 12 teams. It is called “XII Uncovered.” Every week this season, TNT has highlighted one of the teams that has competed in its Big 12 Game of the Week.

It is described as an “access-driven show” that will provide an “in-depth look” at the Wildcats by TNT Sports.

TNT did a mini-documentary on the Jayhawks before Kansas fell to Cincinnati at home near the start of conference play.

That video lasted 20 minutes. It featured a brief history lesson on the Rock Chalk Jayhawk chant, a look at the newly renovated football stadium in Lawrence and an interview with quarterback Jalon Daniels.

Fans will be able to watch the K-State episode of “XII Uncovered” later this week after the TNT camera crew is done filming the Wildcats.
