Dylan Edwards is set to watch another Kansas State football game from the sideline.

The junior running back has been declared out (with an undisclosed lower-body injury) for K-State’s upcoming matchup against TCU at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday inside Bill Snyder Family Stadium

That update does not come as a surprise when you consider that he was limited to 26 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries last week against Baylor. He was also listed as questionable for the TCU game on the Big 12’s initial availability report when it was released on Wednesday.

Still, the Wildcats will miss him in the backfield ... as they have in several games this season.

This will be nothing new for K-State. Edwards has only been 100% healthy for one game this season, a 34-20 victory over UCF in which he ran for 166 yards and a touchdown.

Other than that, he has been limited or out. Edwards only lasted one play during the season-opener against Iowa State before leaving the field with an ankle injury. He then remained on the sideline for games against North Dakota and Army. He was only able to play one quarter against Arizona, and then he was limited with a new injury against Baylor.

Edwards has only played in four games this season. He will miss his third full game on Saturday.

He has rushed for 205 yards and two touchdowns on 34 attempts this year.

K-State will lean on Joe Jackson, DeVon Rice and others in his absence.

Jackson is coming off perhaps his best game in a K-State uniform. The sophomore had 61 rushing yards and 41 receiving yards against Baylor.

K-State listed two other new players as out along with Edwards on Thursday. Wide receiver Adonis Moise and offesnsive lineman JB Nelson will also miss the game, along with a list of other players who have been out with injuries.
