Here’s how many K-State, KU, Mizzou football players will be at NFL Scouting Combine
The NFL announced has announced that a grand total of 321 college football prospects will compete at its scouting combine later this month in Indianapolis.
The Kansas Jayhawks, K-State Wildcats and Missouri Tigers will be well represented at the event.
All three football teams will send multiple former players to the NFL Scouting Combine when it begins on Feb. 26. That means NFL hopefuls from all three schools will have opportunities to show off their athleticism and impress professional scouts before the NFL Draft arrives.
Missouri had the most invitees of the group. Seven Tigers were selected to participate in the event with Kris Abrams-Draine, Jaylon Carlies and Ennis Rakestraw leading the group at defensive back. Linebacker Ty’Ron Hopper, defensive lineman Darius Robinson, running back Cody Schrader and kicker Harrison Mevis also received invitations.
Mevis was one of just six specialists, and four kickers, who will compete at the combine.
There will also be plenty of purple in Indianapolis, as four former K-State football players will be on hand for the event. All-America offensive lineman Cooper Beebe is the headliner, along with fellow blocker KT Leveston, linebacker Khalid Duke and tight end Ben Sinnott.
Sinnott declared for the NFL Draft as an early entrant, and that decision has paid off with both an invite to the Senior Bowl and now the combine.
The Jayhawks will have two players at the NFL Scouting Combine. They are offensive lineman Dominick Puni and defensive lineman Austin Booker.
