Kansas State Wildcats football team moves up in college season’s second AP Top 25 poll
K-State is ranked No. 15 in the season’s second AP Top 25 college football poll.
Kansas State (1-0) earned its first victory of the season, a 45-0 win over Southeast Missouri State, and moved up one spot from week one.
The Big 12 is also represented in the poll, which was released Tuesday, by Texas at No. 11 and Oklahoma at No. 18. Multiple Big 12 schools were represented In the “others receiving votes” category, with TCU at 27 votes, Texas Tech three and Iowa State two.
Kansas (1-0) is unranked in the new poll after defeating Missouri State 48-17 on Friday.
Defending national champion Georgia is ranked No. 1 in the AP poll, followed in the Top 10 by Michigan, Alabama, Florida State, Ohio State, USC, Penn State, Washington, Tennessee and Notre Dame.
Kansas State plays Troy on Saturday. Kansas plays host to Illinois Friday.
