Chris Klieman has added another local football prospect to Kansas State’s 2023 recruiting class.

Jordan Allen, a three-star defensive end from Olathe South, announced his intentions to play for the Wildcats on Monday via an announcment on social media.

He chose K-State despite holding scholarship offers from Illinois, Iowa, Iowa State, Kansas, Missouri, USC, Vanderbilt and Washington.

Allen is the sixth in-state recruit to verbally commit to the Wildcats during this recruiting cycle. He joins Maize quarterback Avery Johnson, Blue Valley receiver Andre Davis, Kapaun Mt. Carmel tight end Will Anciaux, Piper offensive lineman Camden Beebe and Collegiate safety Wesley Fair.

K-State made a strong impression on Allen over the weekend. He was on campus for a recruiting visit to watch the Wildcats defeat South Dakota 34-0 in their first game of the season at Bill Snyder Family Stadium. He then returned home and committed to Klieman two days later.

The Wildcats now have 18 pledges lined up for 2023.

Allen is the seventh ranked recruit in the Sunflower State, per Rivals. He will look to help the K-State defense as early as next season after he graduates from high school.
