Kansas State picks up second men’s basketball commitment from SEC in as many days

Kansas State picked up its second transfer from an SEC program in as many days.

On Tuesday, Cam Carter, who spent his freshman season at Mississippi State, announced on social media he was transferring to K-State.

Carter entered the transfer portal on April 12. He’s a 6-3 guard from Donaldsonville, La. He appeared in 27 games last season with four starts, averaging 2.0 points in 8.5 minutes per game.

A four-star recruit from Oak Hill Academy (Va.), Carter considered offers from Virginia Tech and others before signing with the Bulldogs.

On Monday, front liner Jerrell Colbert announced he was transferring from LSU to Kansas State.
