Kansas State vs. Oklahoma: Time, TV, betting line, preview, five things to know
The Kansas State football team will try to bounce back from an opening loss at 11 a.m. on Saturday in its first road trip of the season against the Oklahoma Sooners.

FIVE THINGS TO KNOW
Kansas State is hoping for another upset. No team likes to enter a game as a huge underdog, but the Wildcats shouldn’t be bothered by the eye-popping spread attached to this one. K-State was also a huge underdog against Oklahoma last season and pulled off a 48-41 upset. Behind four rushing touchdowns from Skylar Thompson, it raced to a 48-23 lead in that game and then held on to hand the Sooners their only loss of the regular season.
The Wildcats are still dealing with limited personnel. K-State was down nearly 40 players when it took the field against Arkansas State last week. Coach Chris Klieman said 12 of those inactive players returned to practice last week but the Wildcats also lost another 10 to positive tests and/or contact tracing. They will be limited at certain positions again in Game 2.
Impressive debut for Oklahoma. The Sooners were one of the few teams in the Big 12 that cruised to victory in their opener, as they smashed Missouri State 48-0. Spencer Rattler led the way by completing 14 of 17 passes for 290 yards and four touchdowns, and Oklahoma’s defense only allowed the Bears to gain 135 yards.
New quarterback, same results. It looks like the Sooners won’t have much trouble transitioning to a new quarterback this season. Rattler appears ready to succeed Jalen Hurts the same way Kyler Murray replaced Baker Mayfield. A former five-star recruit from Phoenix, he is a more gifted passer than Hurts was last season.
Hungry for more. Two K-State newcomers hit the ground running in their first game with the Wildcats last week. Freshman running back Deuce Vaughn led the team in rushing yards (47) and scored a touchdown. Senior tight end transfer Briley Moore led the team in catches (six for 54 yards) and also found the end zone. The Wildcats will need more of both to have a shot against teh Sooners.
