Kickoff time, TV info announced for Kansas State’s first two football games
Kansas State fans can begin earnestly preparing for the start of football season.
After months of uncertainty and schedule changes caused by the coronavirus pandemic, the Big 12 has announced kickoff times and TV information for Sept. 12 when all 10 of its schools will take the field for their opening games.
K-State will host Arkansas State at 2:30 p.m. at Bill Snyder Family Stadium. The game will be televised on Fox Sports 1.
The Wildcats also know when they will play the Oklahoma Sooners in their second game of the season on Sept. 26. The Big 12 also announced Tuesday that K-State and Oklahoma will kickoff at 11 a.m. in Norman. That game will be televised nationally on FOX.
Football games in Manhattan will feel a little different this season, both for fans in attendance and those watching from home. The Wildcats have limited capacity to approximately 12,500, which is 25% of the 50,000 seats that the stadium typically fills in the fall, and all fans in attendance will have to abide by enhanced safety protocols.
No tailgating will be permitted in K-State parking lots before the game and fans will need to wear masks and practice social distancing throughout the game.
That will create an unusual gameday atmosphere that figures to be noticeable on site and on TV.
But K-State fans can begin planning on what their first two Saturdays with football will look like later this month now that some kickoff times have been announced.
