After an eventful day of football recruiting, the Kansas State Wildcats are ready to officially add new players to their roster.
Football recruits across the country will make their commitments with college teams official on Wednesday as the early signing period begins.
K-State was expected to sign a group of 20-plus prospects after landing four new pledges on Tuesday.
Follow along here throughout the day for updates on each of them.
Wednesday’s signings
K-State is going with a LEGO theme to announce each of its signings with the slogan of “building blocks.”
The Wildcats were busy Wednesday and signed 23 players.
The first K-State recruit to sign with the Wildcats on Wednesday was Will Howard, a three-star quarterback from Downingtown, Pa.
The 6-foot-4, 210-pound passer had a successful high school career in which he threw for 5,308 yards and 48 touchdowns to go along with 512 yards and 21 touchdowns on the ground.
Kirmari Gainous, a defensive end from Hutchinson Community College, was the second recruit to sign with the Wildcats.
The third player of the day to sign with K-State was Talor Warner, a 6-4 athlete from Gardner.
Four of K-State’s first wave of signings on Wednesday were players from within the state of Kansas. The others were Dawson Delforge, an offensive lineman from Wamego, Cody Stufflebean, an athlete from McPherson who could play tight end or defense in college, and Olathe defensive end Nate Matlack.
A pair of Texas high school teammates are also officially Wildcats: Jeremiah Harris and Ronald Triplette.
Harris is a 6-foot-1 linebacker who chose K-State over a host of other schools. Triplette is a 6-3 defensive end. They are both seniors at Shadow Creek High School in Pearland, Texas.
The morning brought even more signings, including one of the top-rated players in K-State’s incoming class: Tee Denson.
The 6-1 defensive back from Atlanta chose the Wildcats over Pittsburgh, TCU and Virginia Tech. He is rated as a top 100 cornerback nationally by both 247Sports and Rivals.
K-State began receiving signatures from players on the West Coast around 9 a.m. on Wednesday. That’s when tight end Christian Moore officially joined K-State’s 2020 recruiting class. The 6-3 playmaker currently resides in Huntington Beach, Calif.
The Wildcats also received good recruiting news in the form of a commitment and signing from two players -- Justin Gardner and Aamaris Brown.
Gardner is a defensive back from Hutchinson Community College will transfer and be eligible to play next season after picking K-State on Wednesday. Brown is an incoming freshman defensive back from Seffner, Fla. who made 80 tackles and 11 interceptions as a high school defender.
K-State crossed the 20-signee mark at 11 a.m. when the Wildcats announced the additions of Waco, Texas linebacker DeMarrquese Hayes and 6-7 Tennessee offensive lineman Witt Mitchum.
Mitchum committed to the Wildcats on Tuesday and should help add important depth at tackle next season.
