Kansas State adds Rutgers, Tulane, North Dakota to future football schedules
Kansas State has agreed to a home-and-home football series with Rutgers, the school announced Thursday.
K-State will host Rutgers in 2030 and travel to New Jersey for the return game in 2031. The series gives the Wildcats at least one nonconference game against a power league opponent in 13 of the next 15 seasons. The open years are 2022 and 2023. They are actively working to find the right opponent for those seasons.
Other power-conference teams on K-State’s future schedules include Vanderbilt, Mississippi State, Stanford, Arizona, Washington State and Colorado.
The Wildcats also added future games against Tulane and North Dakota on Thursday.
K-State will play three games against Tulane within the next decade. The first will be played at home in 2022, the second will be played in New Orleans in 2024, and the third will be played in Manhattan in 2026.
North Dakota will visit K-State in 2020. K-State’s nonconference schedule is now set for the next four seasons.
