▪ ABOUT OKLAHOMA (24-6, 12-6 Big 12): The Sooners and Cyclones split the season series. This is their third meeting in Kansas City in the last four years and Oklahoma seeks its first victory in that span. The Sooners rank second nationally in three-point field-goal percentage (43.0) and they’ve made at least 10 threes in 20 games this season. Buddy Hield’s 25.1 scoring average ranks second nationally.
▪ ABOUT IOWA STATE (21-10, 10-8 Big 12): The Cyclones begin their bid for a third straight Big 12 tourney title. The Cyclones are led by Georges Niang but everybody can score. Seven players have hit at least 20 points in a game this season. The Cyclones are the only top 25 team with six players averaging at least 10 points. Deonte Burton comes off the bench and averages 10.0.
