The Big 12 men’s and women’s tournaments tip off on Wednesday, and fans are gearing up for a weekend of big games.

All 10 teams in the conference will come to Kansas City with a chance at an automatic bid for the NCAA’s March Madness tournament.

Downtown Kansas City will be swarmed by visitors, making it tough to find parking close to either the T-Mobile Center or Municipal Auditorium.

If you’re in town for the tournament, here’s what you need to know about parking.

WHERE CAN I PARK FOR THE BIG 12 TOURNAMENT?

Visit KC’s website states there are over 40,000 parking spots in downtown Kansas City. If you’re looking for a place to park, you should be able to find one nearby.

You can buy passes for parking near the T-Mobile Center in the Magenta, Red or Yellow parking lots. These lots are by the KC Live! Block, City Hall or right across the street from the arena.

Click here for a map of where these parking lots are located.

If those lots are full, take a look at this map featuring all the parking options available in downtown Kansas City. The yellow spaces are garage parking, the blue spaces are surface parking and the red spaces are surface parking that’s only open on the weekends.

You can also use the Park KC app to reserve your spot in one of these lots:

  • Auditorium Plaza garage

  • Ed Wolfe garage

  • J.E. Dunn
