Big 12

How much are Big 12 Basketball Tournament tickets? These are the cheapest games in KC

The Big 12 Women’s Basketball Tournament concluded in Kansas City on Sunday, March 9. Led by transfer and Olympic bronze medalist Hailey Van Lith, Texas Christian won the conference just one year after finishing 1-17 in conference play.

T-Mobile Center only has one day of rest before the Big 12 Men’s Basketball Tournament tips off at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 11, with a matchup between No. 13 Cincinnati and No. 12 Oklahoma State. Kansas State fans won’t have to wait to see the Wildcats play; the No. 10 seed plays No. 15 Arizona State at 6 p.m.

This is the first Big 12 men’s tournament to feature 16 teams, so it’s the first time four teams received a double bye, meaning they get two extra days of rest and preparation. Four other teams, including Kansas, received a single bye and will play Wednesday, March 12.

Tickets are available in sessions, and each session includes two games, except for the championship game Saturday, March 15. If you’re a fan or alum of a school in the Big 12 or want to see tournament play, here are the cheapest tickets available from AXS, the tournament’s official vendor.

Cheapest Big 12 Men’s Basketball Tournament tickets

The cheapest ticket for the Big 12 Men’s Basketball Tournament is the first session, featuring Cincinnati vs. Oklahoma State (Game 1) and No. 16 Colorado vs No. 9 TCU (Game 2) at 2 p.m. Tickets to see these two games are $25 on the upper level, in sections 200-204, 213-200 and 229-232. The second-cheapest price is $30 in sections 205-212 and 221-228.

Resale sites, like StubHub, list even lower tickets for this session, but you should be careful when buying tickets that aren’t from the official source.

K-State will play during the second session (Game 4), which also includes No. 14 University of Central Florida vs. No. 11 Utah (Game 3). Ticket prices for these games are the same as Session 1.

Prices slightly go up the next day for the third and fourth sessions. Session 3 will see the Game 1 winner play No. 5 Iowa State at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 12, and the Game 2 winner play No. 8 West Virginia. The cheapest tickets for session three are $30 in 200-204, 213-200 and 229-232 and $35 in 205-212 and 221-228.

Session 4 features Kansas playing the Game 4 winner at 8:30 p.m., but fans who buy a ticket can also see the Game 3 winner play No. 7 Baylor at 6 p.m. The cheapest tickets are the same prices as they are for Session 3.

As the tournament advances to Thursday and Friday, $35 is the cheapest for Sessions 5 and 6, $50 for Session 7 (the tournament semifinals) and $65 for Session 8, the Big 12 championship game.

All prices listed are accurate on ticket selling website AXS as of Monday, March 10, and do not include fees.
