How to watch Big 12 men’s basketball tournament in Kansas City: Bracket, TV & tickets

Houston clinched the top seed of the Big 12 Men’s Basketball Championship before tipping off on Saturday, but the Cougars drove home the point with a 30-point victory over Kansas.

Iowa State’s loss at Kansas State earlier in the day allowed top-ranked Houston, in its first year in the Big 12, to win the title outright and secure the top seed in the tournament that begins on Tuesday at T-Mobile Center in Kansas City.

The Cougars beat Kansas 76-46 to improve to 15-3 in Big 12. Iowa State (13-5) fell to K-State 65-58.

The Jayhawks finished with a 10-8 Big 12 mark, their most losses in conference play since finishing 6-8 in 1989, Roy Williams’ first season. KU will be the No. 6 seed.

The Cyclones are the second seed, followed by Baylor and Texas Tech. The top four seeds get a double bye and won’t play until Thursday.

The men’s tournament opens Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. with the opening round. That evening, the Big 12 women’s championship game will be played at T-Mobile Center.

The latest bracketology consensus has the Big 12 getting nine teams in the NCAA Tournament.
