These K-State Wildcats, Kansas Jayhawks earned spots on All-Big 12 football team

The Sunflower State is well represented on this year’s All-Big 12 Team.

Four Kansas State football players earned first-team honors, and two more earned spots on the second team. A pair of Kansas players also received second-team honors.

On top of that, Wichita native Breece Hall was selected Big 12 offensive player of the year after a stellar season at running back with the Iowa State Cyclones.

The Big 12 announced its all-conference honors on Thursday. The league’s coaches voted on the team.

For K-State, the biggest winners were left tackle Cooper Beebe, defensive end Felix Anudike-Uzomah, kick returner Malik Knowles and safety Russ Yeast. All four of them earned first-team honors. Star running back Deuce Vaughn ended up on the second team, despite receiving at least one vote for Big 12 offensive player of the year, along with fullback Jax Dineen.

The Jayhawks had two defensive players end up on the second team: lineman Kyron Johnson and defensive back Kenny Logan.

A number of players from both KU and K-State also received honorable mention from the league’s coaches.
