Big 12 women’s soccer championship features top-ranked West Virginia
West Virginia arrives to the Big 12 women’s soccer championship at Swope Soccer Village as the nation’s top-ranked team.
The Mountaineers, 18-1-1, are the top seed for the event that begins on Wednesday with four quarterfinal matches. West Virginia plays Texas Tech at 11:30 a.m.
Kansas is the No. 2 seed. The Jayhawks, ranked No. 24 in the Division I coaches’ poll, takes on TCU at 5:30 p.m. Texas Tech defeated Kansas 1-0 in last year’s championship match.
The semifinals are Friday with the first match at 4:30 p.m., and Sunday’s championship starts at 2:30 p.m.

West Virginia (No. 1 seed) vs. Texas Tech (8), 11:30 a.m.
Oklahoma (4) vs. Iowa State (5), 2 p.m.
Kansas (2) vs. TCU (7), 5:30 p.m.
Baylor (3) vs. Oklahoma State (6), 8 p.m.

2:30 p.m.
