Kansas City Kansas Community College women win, men lose in NJCAA tournaments
Erin Anderson led three Kansas City Kansas Community College players in double figures with 20 points in a 72-53 win over Waubonsee Community College (Ill.) in the NJCAA Division II tournament at Johnson County Community College.
Aricca Daye had 14 points and Brooklyn Wagler added 13 for KCK.
Coriesha Bailey led all scorers with 22 points for Waubonsee.
KCK will play Owens Community College (Ohio) at 8 p.m. tonight in the second round.
The KCK men got 15 points from Jonathan Murray but fell to South Suburban (Ill.) 57-50 in the men’s tournament in Danville, Ill.
Jovan Mooring led Danville with 22 points.
