Pitt State 7th, Bearcats 14th in final Division II football poll

The Pittsburg State Gorillas finished No. 7 in the final AFCA Division II Coaches’ top 25 released on Monday.

Pittsburg State finished seventh and Northwest Missouri State No. 14 in the final AFCA Division II Coaches’ top 25 released on Monday.

The MIAA schools fell in road games during the NCAA Championship, with the Gorillas losing at Minnesota State and the Bearcats at Minnesota-Duluth.

Colorado State-Pueblo defeated Minnesota State 13-0 in at Sporting Park last Saturday for the Division II championship. Those teams finished 1-2 in the final poll.
