▪ NOTING IOWA STATE (2-0): All five Cyclones starters have scored in double figures in both games. Iowa State is 4-5 all time in Sprint Center, but captured last year’s Big 12 Tournament here. At No. 14 in the AP poll, Iowa State is the only ranked team in the field. This is the program’s first appearance in the CBE Classic.
▪ NOTING ALABAMA (3-0): The Tide is meeting Iowa State for the second time. Alabama beat the Cyclones in Las Vegas in 2007. Anthony Grant is in his sixth year as head coach and is 102-71 at Tuscaloosa. The team’s second leading scorer, guard Ricky Tarrant, is averaging 13.7 points off the bench.
