▪ NOTING MARYLAND (3-0): Coach Mark Turgeon knows Kansas City well. The Topeka native, former Kansas guard and assistant coach was last seen in Spint Center in 2011, coaching Texas A&M in the Big 12 Tournament. He has the Terps off to a fast start, limiting opponents to 30.9 percent field goal shooting and 51.7 points per game.
▪ NOTING ARIZONA STATE (3-0): Coach Herb Sendek’s team is holding opponents to 44.3 points and 30.5 percent from the floor. Second leading scorer Jonathan Gilling (9.7 ppg) comes off the bench. The Sun Devils have held their last two opponents under 50 points, the first time that’s happened for Arizona State since 2007.
