First a national title, now player of the year honors for Central Missouri goalkeeper

Central Missouri women’s soccer player Ana Dilkes, one of the most successful goalkeepers in Division II history, was chosen NCAA Division II player of the year by the United Soccer Coaches on Wednesday.

Dilkes led the Jennies to a 26-0 record and a national championship this season, recording a Division II single-season-best 21 shutouts. She never allowed more than one goal in any game and only allowed five goals.

As the anchor of the Jennies’ top-ranked defense, Dilkes kept 12 consecutive clean sheets at the beginning of the season.

In her career, Dilkes recorded 64 shutouts, a Division II record. Dilkes, a Wichita native, completed her record-setting career at Central Missouri with seven overall All-American designations, four MIAA goalkeeper of the year awards and seven All-Region selections.
