Before the first spike or dig, the NCAA Volleyball Championship at Sprint Center has already set a record.

The 18,351 tickets sold are the most in the event’s history. The previous mark was 17,561 in Omaha, Neb., in 2015.

The games begin at 6 p.m. Thursday, when Penn State, the tournament’s top seed, takes on fifth-seeded Nebraska. After that, around 8 p.m., second-seeded Florida meets No. 3 seed Stanford.

The final is Saturday at 8 p.m.
