Johnson County Community College makes NJCAA DII final four

The Johnson County Community College women’s basketball team advanced to the semifinals of the National Junior College Athletic Association Division II tournament Wednesday night.

JCCC defeated Kalamazoo Valley 77-41 to make the final four.

Austin Richardson scored 16 points to lead JCCC while Tantashea Giger and Arielle Jackson both added 14.

JCCC, the No. 2 seed, will face third-seeded Monroe Community College at 6 p.m. Friday for a spot in the final.
