NAIA women’s basketball tournament moving from Independence to Montana

The NAIA Division I women’s basketball championship is moving from Independence to Montana.

The 32-team tournament was contested in 2015 and 2016 at Silverstein Eye Centers Arena in Independence. It will move to Billings, Mont., for 2017 and 2018.

The NAIA Division I men’s basketball tournament will remain at Municipal Auditorium in downtown Kansas City. The 2017 tournament is scheduled for March 15-21.

The National Association for Intercollegiate Athletics is based in Kansas City.
