Major Update on Michael Olise's Future Emerges Before France-Spain
Kylian Mbappe might be stealing all the headlines but every soccer fan knows how instrumental Michael Olise has been for France in this World Cup. The French winger has 5 assists to his name, just 1 shy of Pele's historic World Cup record.
The talisman has picked up from where he left off for Bayern Munich. Olise had a monumental season for the German side, which included 25 goals and 28 assists across all competitions.
The French star's heroics helped Bayern clinch the Bundesliga title and reach the Champions League semifinal, a run which was ended by PSG with an aggregate score of 6-5.
The stats clearly show how important Michael Olise is to this Vincent Kompany side in their pursuit to win that elusive Champions League title. But if Bayern wants to keep their star, they will have to deal with the increasing threat of Real Madrid.
According to Christian Falk, Bayern has no intention of selling Olise despite Madrid's interest. Addressing the issue, he said. "There is absolutely no chance that Michael Olise will leave during this transfer window. The club has made that very clear to the player."
Explaining further, he said, "The French international will stay at Bayern beyond this summer. Maybe Bayern win the Champions League next season and then Olise decides he wants a new challenge. You never know. But for now, he's staying."
But there is a new twist to this story before the France-Spain game. According to Fabrice Hawkins, Michael Olise is reported to talk about his future with the club after the World Cup.
