Leviatan avenge loss to Paper Rex, win Valorant Masters London title

Leviatan completed their run through the lower playoff bracket and rallied for a 3-2 victory over Paper Rex in the grand final of the $1 million Valorant Masters London on Sunday.

Leviatan, a club based in Buenos Aires, Argentina, will take home the $350,000 grand prize and earn eight Valorant Champions Tour points for their efforts.

Four teams were seeded directly into the double-elimination playoff bracket, while another four emerged from the eight-team Swiss stage. Leviatan and Team Vitality were the teams to go 2-0 in the Swiss System format and earn the first two spots in the playoffs before being joined by FUT Esports and XLG Esports (2-1).

Leviatan took a 2-0 defeat to Paper Rex in the first round but proceeded to tear through the lower bracket. After a 2-1 win over Team Heretics, Leviatan won three straight shutouts to qualify for the grand final and a rematch with Paper Rex.

On Sunday, Paper Rex opened with a 13-2 win on Fracture, and Leviatan countered with a 13-6 triumph on Split. Paper Rex moved back in front with a close 13-11 victory on Breeze. But Leviatan ground out a 13-10 win on Ascent to tie it before sealing the deal with a 13-5 result on Lotus.

Bruno "Neon" Rodriguez of Argentina finished the match with a 79-64-24 kills-deaths-assist ratio to lead Leviatan. He received tournament MVP honors.
