Angel Reese Makes WNBA History In Win Over Caitlin Clark, Indiana Fever
Angel Reese didn't just play a role in the Atlanta Dream's win over the Indiana Fever this Saturday, she made WNBA history.
Just two days ago, Reese had 21 points and 11 rebounds in a 108-101 win over Caitlin Clark and the Fever. It was quite the performance from the former LSU star, especially since she was in foul trouble all game.
"We kind of talked a little bit at halftime about not getting comfortable," Reese said after the win. "I think we kind of stayed together and continued to push. We knew they were going to go on a run, especially with their crowd. When their crowd gets into it, I think they feel that energy, and they did a great job with that."
Reese wasn't the driving force behind the Dream's win over the Fever this Saturday, but she still played a pivotal role by racking up 18 points and eight rebounds.
With this performance in the books, Reese is now the fastest player in WNBA history to reach 1,000 career points and 1,000 rebounds. It took 79 games for her to reach that mark. Tina Charles previously held this record (89 games).
This is nothing new to Angel Reese.
Making history has become second nature for Reese, who owns the most consecutive double-doubles of all time. She's also the first rookie to record a double-double in the WNBA All-Star Game.
With the 2026 season far from over, it wouldn't surprise us if Reese breaks a few more records in the rebounding department.
The Dream will return to the hardwood on Monday for a showdown with the Toronto Tempo.
