The Wildcats continue to add new prospects to their 2027 recruiting class at a feverish pace.

Brooklyn Maxey, a 6-foot-2 and 215-pound athlete from Tampa, became the latest member of the group on Wednesday when he announced his intentions to play for K-State. The three-star recruit was previously committed to Louisville, but he switched after first-year head coach Klein and his staff sold him on their vision.

Maxey intends to play wide receiver for the Wildcats, but his athleticism could earn him a look at other positions. In addition to Louisville, he also held scholarship offers from Alabama, Auburn, Florida State, Kentucky, Mississippi State, North Carolina, Texas and several other programs.

He wasn’t the only new K-State football commitment of the day.

Ashton Stark, a 5-foot-9 and 158-pound wide receiver from Louisiana, also announced his plans to play for the Wildcats on social media.

Stark picked K-State after receiving interest from Arkansas, Auburn, Cincinnati, Houston, Mississippi, Texas Tech and several others.

The Wildcats will have extra talent and depth at wide receiver after they arrive on campus.

With their additions, K-State now has 23 commitments lined up for the 2027 recruiting cycle. The group is ranked among the top 30 nationally by both 247Sports and Rivals.

Klein has added 10 players this month alone.

More could soon be on the way. A handful of other K-State recruiting targets are expected to announce their college destinations in the next few days.
