Broncos Added Major Entertainment Value With Jaylen Waddle Trade

Jaylen Waddle’s trade to the Denver Broncos was a major storyline of the 2026 NFL offseason, and for good reason. He’s one of the best wide receivers in the league, and now, he’s on one of the strongest NFL teams.

In a piece for USA Today published on Friday, June 12, Michael Middlehurst-Schwartz lists every NFL team from most to least entertaining. Now, this is subjective, of course. He notes that “there’s no universal standard for football aesthetics.”

“While transactions have mostly slowed to a trickle, the period before training camps doesn’t tend to lend a lot of insight into the state of teams,” he adds. “Prior to practices starting in a more formal summer setting, it can be difficult to make substantive assertions about the upcoming campaign. But summer is meant to be a time of fun, so let’s assess each franchise on how amusing each team might be in the fall.”

“Acquiring Jaylen Waddle allows Sean Payton to be less methodical on offense, with the speedy wideout sure to break some big gains both on screens and as a downfield target,” he says in the feature. “Yet even if the dominant defense doesn’t waver much, Denver might not be the kings of close calls that they were in 2025, when they went 11-2 in one-score games.”

The Broncos were already an exciting team to watch in 2026. They almost got to the Super Bowl. But, having Waddle will most definitely make them an even more entertaining franchise to watch, whether you’re rooting for or against them.
