Poland and Nigeria meet in an international friendly at PGE Narodowy in Warsaw on Wednesday as both teams continue their preparations after narrowly missing out on qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Poland come into the match after a disappointing 2-0 defeat to Ukraine in their most recent outing.
Earlier in the qualifying campaign, they suffered a dramatic 3-2 loss to Sweden in the playoffs, ending their hopes of reaching the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Defensive issues have also been a concern, with Poland failing to keep a clean sheet in each of their last five matches.
They now face the possibility of losing three consecutive games for the first time in more than three years.
Meanwhile, Nigeria arrive in Warsaw in better form after lifting the Unity Cup with a convincing 3-0 win over Jamaica.
Although Eric Chelle's side missed out on World Cup qualification for a second straight edition, they have produced encouraging results in recent friendlies, winning three of their last four matches.
The only previous meeting between these two nations came in 2018, when Nigeria recorded a 1-0 victory over Poland in an international friendly.
