Kyle Larson Supports Samantha Busch in Latest Dirt Racing Victory
Kyle Larson's latest win meant much more than it usually might. After winning the Davenport High Limit Sprint Car Race on Monday Night, June 1, in Davenport, Iowa, Larson made a heartfelt gesture. Larson told reporters that he would donate all of his winnings to Samantha Busch's Bundle of Joy Fund.
The Bundle of Joy Fund is a charity founded by Kyle and Samantha Busch in 2015 for IVF treatment. In vitro fertility treatment is a procedure meant to help couples have children. Learn more here.
The subject matter has been of paramount importance to the Busch family, who had struggled with this in the past. The Busch family now includes their two children - Brexton and Lennix.
Since the inception of the Bundle of Joy Fund, the charity has issued 176 grants totaling $2.388 million and helped bring 111 babies into the world, per the fund's website.
Upon the sudden passing of Kyle Busch this past May, the entire motorsports community rallied in support of the Busch family. Larson, who has won millions over his NASCAR career, decided that the best route to memorializing the late Busch would be to donate all of his race winnings to the Bundle of Joy Fund.
Kyle Larson Wins Sprint Car Race in Iowa
Larson is a dirt-racer at heart, and he always goes back to his roots in mid-week race events. This time around, Larson left Nashville Superspeedway and headed to Davenport, Iowa, to race in Monday Night's Iowa Lottery Duel at Davenport Speedway.
The event was on the schedule for High Limit Racing's Sprint Car Series. Larson is well into the double digits in victories in the series, 4th all time since the series' inception in 2022.
When racing these events, Larson races for Silva Motorsports in the No. 10. Silva Motorsports is run by Larson's longtime partner, Paul Silva, who co-owned Kyle Larson Motorsports in the 2010's. Their roots go back to Larson's pre-NASCAR career, when he raced dirt in his rise. Larson often represents HendrickCars.com on his No. 10 vehicle.
The NASCAR community will not forget Kyle Busch's memory. Larson's latest dirt racing victory reminds us of that.
Denny Hamlin also paid his own tribute as he and his team did Busch's signature bow after their Cracker Barrel 400 victory on Sunday, May 31, at Nashville Superspeedway.
