Cardinals Praised for Jeremiyah Love Move in NFL Draft
The Arizona Cardinals have a comeback season on the way, following their dismal 3-14 season in 2025, which landed them dead last in the NFC West.
One of the best moves the Cardinals have made this offseason was landing running back Jeremiyah Love in the 2026 NFL draft. Now, that move is getting accolades.
In a piece published on Wednesday, May 27, Mike Sando of The Athletic names his favorite moves for each NFL franchise during the league’s offseason. “With most major NFL offseason moves complete, it’s a good time to single out a favorite move for each team,” he says in the feature. “This exercise is always easier for some teams than for others, so some of these ‘favorites’ are relative to what’s available.”

For the Cardinals, he says that overall, they added excitement to a team that had none, and that includes the Love addition.
“The Cardinals’ decision to select running back Jeremiyah Love at No. 3 gives the organization something it hasn’t had since the early days of Kyler Murray: a reason to watch the offense,” he states in the piece. “The Cardinals need star power and got it with Love. The lectures about positional value can wait for another day.”

What Does Jeremiyah Love Bring to the Cardinals?
It’s true that Love brings excitement to a franchise that needs something, anything happy. But, more than that, Love was a total superstar on Notre Dame’s football team and never ranked lower than the top five in mocks leading up to the draft. He’s a one-of-a-kind talent, and his work ethic and stats should help this team during their critical rebuild.
