President Trump Faces Criticism As Golf Rounds Total Hits New Mark
The President of the United States likes to golf. And that golf habit continued over the weekend.
President Trump, who is turning 80 years old this summer, played golf for the 26th time this year. We're only in May. The President of the United States reportedly spent back-to-back days at his Virginia golf club this weekend.
"Trump, 79, was joined by a blonde aide wearing his merch as he departed for the Trump National Golf Club, Washington, D.C. for the second day in a row," the Daily Beast reported.
"Sunday's outing marks the 26th day the president has golfed in 2026, and the 112th day he has golfed since returning to office last year."
According to the Donald Trump golf tracker, the President of the United States has racked up more than $150 million in taxpayer money for his golf habits.
President Trump's golf habit faces scrutiny again
Unsurprisingly, some have taken issue with President Trump's golf habit, as it reached another mark.
"If a Democrat did all this, Congress would be all over it," one critic wrote.
"No surprise here," one added.
"Guess this coincides with what the doctors say about his health," another wrote.
"Tired of hearing about this," one added.
President Trump, 79, does appear to be in good health. His doctor released the results of his physical earlier this week. President Trump passed with "flying colors."
"He is fully fit to carry out all duties of the Commander-in-Chief," Dr. Sean Barbabella, the president's physician, wrote in the memo.
Those duties include playing golf, apparently.
