A'ja Wilson Appears To Be At Odds With Teammate Chennedy Carter

The 2026 season is already off to a tumultuous start for the Las Vegas Aces.

After losing to the Dallas Wings on Thursday night, Aces guard Chennedy Carter went on a rant about her role with the team. She also took a shot at Azzi Fudd, the No. 1 pick in this year's WNBA Draft.

"I made her ankle touch the ground," Carter wrote on Threads. "But y'all can hollar at me when my leash is off, too. It's completely unfair, even though statistically, it's not even close."

Several fans criticized Carter for her comments on Threads, accusing her of showing poor sportsmanship. Others tried their best to reason with the veteran guard.

"That's great sportsmanship. However, you need to make that who you are," one person replied. "Going on a rant about a rookie w/ a huge brand who literally smiles and hugs her opponents and has never talked trash (won't even give us a slight celly) doesn't help showcase this side of who you are. Which is the brand that you need to promote to help your pockets. You're incredibly gifted... stay out of your own way!"

WNBA fans noticed that Aces star A'ja Wilson liked this comment directed towards Carter.

Trouble for the Aces?

Carter has been excellent this season for the Aces, averaging 19.1 points per game. At the end of the day though, Wilson is the heart and soul of the team.

If Carter and Wilson can't get on the same page, we have no doubt the Aces would side with their three-time champion and four-time MVP.

The Aces will take on the Valkyries this Sunday. It'll be fascinating to see the dynamic on the court between Carter and Wilson.
