Woman Accused Of Wearing 'Inappropriate' Masters Outfit Taunts Critics
It's been a little more than a month since a prominent New York City influencer was accused of wearing an "inappropriate" outfit at The Masters.
Abby Baffoe, a New York City-based influencer with millions of followers across Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, was accused of wearing an outfit not appropriate for the grounds at Augusta National in Georgia. Photos of her outfit quickly went viral on social media, sparking a lot of criticism.
"Tell me it's your first time at the the Masters without telling me it's your first time at THE MASTERS..😑," one fan wrote.
"Class is knowing how to dress for the moment, not dressing to be seen," one fan added.
"Just bc it's Chanel doesn't mean is masters approved attire 😭," one fan added.
The Masters does not have a specific dress code, though everyone is encouraged to dress appropriately.
"The most important tip for Masters patron attire is to dress appropriately for the weather and consider wearing light layers, as temperatures in April range from highs of 80°F to lows of 50°F. Plan to wear comfortable, water-resistant shoes without spikes or pointed heels. Golf shoes with metal spikes are not permitted," The Masters writes.
The fan, meanwhile, is still having fun with her critics.

Baffoe, sporting a burgundy Masters hat, taunted her critics with a new photo on Saturday night.
"Kind of wild to wear this after the whole outfit debacle," she joked.
Clearly, Baffoe doesn't seem bothered by the criticism. In fact, she's playing into it.
Some, meanwhile, continue to defend her.
"I went straight to the masters outfit video and I don't get it. They're mad because you wore shorts? It's Georgia in early spring. It's steamy," one fan said.
As more and more influencers attend major sporting events, we'll probably be seeing even more of this moving forward.
