Golfers At President Trump's Course Disagree On His 'Bold' Decision

Golfers at President Trump's course in Florida disagree on his big, bold decision for the summer months.

President Trump, who is turning 80 years old this summer, had a big, golden statue built at his course in Florida. The President of the United States had it installed prior to his PGA Tour event last month.

The 22-foot-tall golden statue of the President of the United States was installed while Christian and Jewish clergy held a ceremony in his honor. Unsurprisingly, President Trump loved it.

"Everybody is taking pictures of it, my people told me. It's unbelievable," Trump told his friend, Pastor Mark Burns.

"All day long they're taking pictures. They stand up next to it and have their picture taken. It really came out beautiful."

But golfers at President Trump's Doral, Florida course feel differently.

Some at President Trump's Florida course seem to love the statue, while others are speaking out, making it clear that they find it distasteful.

Golfers at President Trump's course react

Jorge Garcia, who has played at President Trump's course for the last two years, finds it pretty amusing.

"It's amazing," Garcia said sarcastically, joking that if he owned a course, "I would do it myself, but bigger.

"I'm kidding."

Meanwhile, a female golfer, identified as Andrea, defended the decision.

"It's his course. It's his property," the golfer said. "I wouldn't put one in my home, because it's not my thing."

Other golfers, meanwhile, don't see much of a problem.

"And at the end of the day, it's golf," one golfer said. "It's meant to be casual and fun."

What do you make of the statue decision?
