NFL Fans Already 'Not Happy' With Cris Collinsworth's 2026 Schedule

NFL fans are already bothered by Cris Collinsworth's 2026 schedule.

The league released the 2026 schedule in full on Thursday night. The league went into serious detail on the Week 1 slate, the holiday games, which networks are getting the big games, how many games are going to the streaming platforms, etc.

Of course, everyone cares about the premier games the most. And that's the Thanksgiving Day and Night slate. The Chiefs will be taking on the Bills on Thanksgiving Day. Josh Allen will be pitted against Patrick Mahomes. It's a strong matchup.

And it'll air on NBC.

Of course, that means that Cris Collinsworth will be on the call of the game between Mahomes and Allen.

NFL fans are already "not happy" with that. Few announcers, if any, slobber over Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen more than Collinsworth.

Fans are calling out NBC's schedule for 2026

"It's nice that Romo won't be calling this one, but Collinsworth might be even worse," one fan wrote.

"This is a disaster," one added.

"Welp, I'll be watching this one on mute," one shared.

"Not gonna tune in for this one. I just can't do it," another added.

"It's a loss because Collinsworth is going to go crazy every time he talks about Mahomes smh," another fan shared.

"Collinsworth calling Mahomes games is just a no-go for me. Wish this was on another network," one added.

CBS's Jim Nantz, meanwhile, is disappointed by the decision, too. He and Tony Romo love to call Chiefs vs. Bills games.

"That's the rivalry of its time," Nantz told Sports Illustrated's Jimmy Traina . "But, you know, you're not gonna get it every year. So, I'm O.K. with it. I have faith we're going to get a very good schedule. I kind of had a sinking feeling that one of these years, somebody else was gonna get the chance to have that great matchup. It's O.K."
