Myles Turner Drops Eye-Opening Claim About Giannis and Bucks' Team Culture
Myles Turner has made a pretty surprising claim about what things were like behind the scenes with the Bucks. Speaking about Milwaukee's team culture, Turner said Giannis Antetokounmpo and other players were regularly late for practices, film sessions, and even team flights.
He went as far as saying he eventually learned not to show up on time for flights because Giannis would arrive whenever he wanted. For a team already facing questions about its direction, Turner's comments add another layer to the conversation around accountability and leadership in Milwaukee.
Speaking on the ‘Game recognize game' podcast, Turner dived deeper into the issues behind the scenes at Bucks saying,
Myles Turner says Doc Rivers doesn't fine players so players are late all the time for practices, film sessions, and even flights. Specifically pointing out Giannis for being late towards team flights and delaying them by up to 2 hours@gamerecgamepodpic.twitter.com/1iw9ydR71Z

"It depends on the coach, Doc Rivers he did not fine anybody. Guys were late all the time, guys were showing up to film whenever they wanted, guys were missing meetings, it was one of the craziest things Ii've ever personally experienced. It got to the point where I knew to not show up until an hour after they said the plane was going to take off… Giannis is going to show up whenever he wants"
Bucks to Make a Decision on Giannis' Future Before the Draft
Milwaukee's offseason is already centered on one question: what happens with Giannis Antetokounmpo?
The Bucks introduced Taylor Jenkins as their new head coach, but the conversation quickly became bigger than just the coaching change. Jimmy Haslam made it clear that the franchise wants clarity before the NBA Draft, because Milwaukee's entire plan depends on Giannis' decision.
If he stays, the Bucks can focus on retooling around him and trying to get back into contention. If he leaves, the front office has to shift into asset-gathering mode and make sure any trade brings back a serious haul.
That is why Jenkins' arrival comes at such an interesting time. He is being asked to help reset the culture, but he may not yet know whether he is coaching a Giannis-led team or the start of a new era.
Giannis has spoken well of Jenkins and their past relationship, which helps. But he has also avoided giving a firm answer about what comes next, choosing instead to focus on his offseason work and stay away from the noise.
For the Bucks, there is no easy middle ground anymore. The next few weeks could decide whether they are still building around one of the best players in the world or preparing for the biggest reset the franchise has faced in years.
