Draymond Green Has Blunt Response to Victor Wembanyama Ejection
San Antonio Spurs center Victor Wembanyama was ejected early in the second quarter of Sunday night’s Game 4 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Wembanyama was given a Flagrant 2 foul after delivering a hard elbow to the jaw of Timberwolves forward Naz Reid. The foul certainly met the criteria for an ejection as the 7-foot-4 Frenchman wound up and followed through with “excessive contact” to the head of his opponent.
Wembanyama was clearly frustrated by the Timberwolves’ physicality as Jaden McDaniels fully grabbed his arm just before the incident. This Flagrant 2 foul resulted in the first ejection of his young NBA career.
On the other hand, Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green has a rich history of ejections and NBA punishments - leading to this question from a fan on social media.
“If this was @Money23Green how many games would we be asking for?” the fan wrote on X.
“Y'all have called for my career for less,” Green replied.

The NBA elected not to pursue any further punishment against Wembanyama, according to ESPN league insider Shams Charania. After missing nearly three quarters of action in Game 4, the unanimous Defensive Player of the Year will be back on the court for the Spurs in Game 5.

The Spurs dropped Game 4 with a 114-109 final score, hanging around despite Wembanyama’s absence. De’Aaron Fox, Dylan Harper and Stephon Castle stepped up in a big way, combining for 68 points in the loss.
With the series now tied at 2-2, Game 5 will tipoff at 8 p.m. ET on Tuesday.
