Kai Trump Issues 'Plea' Before Her Freshman Year Of College

Kai Trump, the 18-year-old granddaughter of President Donald J. Trump, is set to play golf at the University of Miami this fall.

She announced her commitment on social media.

"I am beyond excited to announce my verbal commitment to the University of Miami. I would like to thank my mom, Vanessa, and my dad, Don, for always supporting me through my journey. I would also like to thank my great team for getting me to this point. I would like to thank my Grandpa for giving me access to great courses and tremendous support. I would also like to thank my Mormor for always believing in me," she announced.

"I would also like to thank my entire family for always encouraging and pushing me to be the best person I can possibly be. I would like to thank my friends for always cheering me on. Last but not least I would love to thank Coach Janice and Coach Jim for giving me this opportunity. I am supper excited to be a cane and represent the University of Miami. Gooo Canes!"

But heading into her freshman collegiate season, she has a plea for everyone.

Kai Trump is pleading for everyone to stop judging her because of her last name. She's getting tired of it.

"I mean, 50% of the world doesn't like me because of my last name, but like, they don't actually know me," she said on Logan Paul's IMPAULSIVE podcast.

She added: "One time I was out in public, and someone literally walked up to me to tell me that my grandpa (stinks). I'm like, ‘Well thank you so much for taking time out of your day to say that. Great, what do you want me to say to that?"

Kai Trump wants to live in the middle at college

Kai Trump, who has millions of followers online - thanks, of course, to her last name - wants to live in the middle as she pushes forward toward a collegiate athletics career.

"There's radical left, there's radical right, and there's a lot of people that get too extreme. And there aren't a lot of things on social media where you're very much in the middle. And I think that kind of makes some people crazy and some people buy into it too much," she said.

Kai Trump will look to keep a more down-the-middle profile during her freshman year at Miami.
