John Harbaugh Gets Candid With Honest Odell Beckham Jr Update
The Odell Beckham to the New York Giants rumors just won’t quit.
New head coach John Harbaugh fanned the flames with a few comments regarding the talented wide receiver’s potential return to New York, but offered his candid thoughts on where he sees Beckham fitting with the team.
“Odell wants to be the kind of player that can make a difference,” Harbaugh said. “I’m pretty sure that he can make a team in the National Football League right now. But can he make a difference and is it something he wants to do and is his body going to hold up the way he wants it to?”

Harbaugh revealed he’s spoken with Beckham “three or four” times over the past week. Beckham is in Arizona training and spending time with his son, the coach said and “the goal for right now is for him to train and get as ready as he can be.”
The Giants coach wants to have an “honest conversation” about Beckham potentially joining the team, which doesn’t sound like it would happen until training camp.
“Now, you know Odell, he’s confident, man. He’s confident, he’s working hard, and he believes in himself. So I think we’ll just play it out over the next month and into training camp and see where we’re at,” Harbaugh said.
Beckham caught nine passes for 55 yards in 2024 with the Miami Dolphins and did not play in 2025.
