Raptors Update Brandon Ingram's Status for Game 6 vs. Cavaliers
The Toronto Raptors return home for Game 6 trailing the Cleveland Cavaliers 3-2 after a 125-120 loss in a game Toronto led by three entering the fourth quarter. That tiny five-point difference can be explained by a lack of late-game scoring due to the absence of star forward Brandon Ingram.
The Raptors have kept submitting injury reports every 15 minutes through Friday morning, and at 11:45 a.m. ET, the Raptors changed Brandon Ingram's status for the must-win Game 6.
Ingram has been downgraded from "questionable" to "doubtful" due to a right heel inflammation. The forward played just 11 minutes in Game 5, scoring one point, one rebound, and two assists.
Head coach Darko Rajakovic said after the Game 5 loss that Ingram's issue has been ongoing and worsened during the game.
"Brandon, as you guys know, he's been dealing with his heel. He reaggravated that heel on one play. We tried to retape him," Rajakovic said. "At halftime, he tried to activate to see if he (could) be ready for the second half and he was not able to come and play the second half."
Ingram finished the regular season averaging 21.5 points on 47.7 percent shooting from the field and 38.2 percent from range, and is putting up 12 points per game in the playoffs.

The Raptors remain without starting point guard Immanuel Quickley, while Scottie Barnes is available after dealing with some issues of his own throughout Game 5.
Toronto finished the regular season with a 46-36 record and the No. 5 seed, and after recovering from a 2-0 deficit in the series, the Raptors now face a win-or-go-home situation Friday at 7:30 p.m. ET.
