Yankees' Viral Dessert 'Chicken' Bucket Is Back - Here's How to Get It Before It Sells Out Again

When it comes to Major League Baseball teams unveiling their new menu items for their respective upcoming seasons, often times leaning into the lane of ridiculous in the name of attention rather than substance tends to win out more often than not.

But that wouldn't be the case for the highly-praised Yankee Stadium 2026 menu, specifically its "viral fried chicken ice cream."

The new item quickly proved to be such a massive hit that, according to Yankees senior director of communications Michael Margolis, it was already sold out by the first inning of the team's second home game of the season.

The good news for Yankees fans is the dessert will be making its triumphant return just in time for a four-game series against the Baltimore Orioles on Friday, May 1.

What Is the Yankees' Chicken Dessert Bucket - and Where Can You Get It?

For those unfamiliar, and since seeing "chicken" and "dessert bucket" in the same string of words might seem a little off, here's a description of the item:

The $10.99 dessert is served in a souvenir Yankees-branded mini "chicken" bucket, with a pair of fried chicken drumsticks that are actually ice cream, featuring a chocolate-covered cookie center and a coating of white chocolate with candied corn flakes.

When taking into consideration the noted popularity of the new dessert, like anything else, location will be a factor.

Fans planning on attending any of the four games against the Orioles at Yankee Stadium and happen to be sitting in sections 125, 205, or 318, are already firmly in pole position.

And yes, while the official post from the Yankee Stadium X account does declare that the "Mini Dessert 'Chicken' Bucket is back in stock this homestand!" it's hardly a lock for the "chicken" ice cream to last for the entirety of the Yankees' seven-game homestand.

Remember, even though it's not actually chicken, Yankees lead announcer Michael Kay, the team's official chicken tenders taste-tester, gushed over the dessert and awarded it a perfect 10.

"It looks like chicken, it's amazing! 10, can't be better, that's why it's sold out," Kay said.
