The 10 Biggest Crashes of the 2026 FWT Season

There's nothing like a good tumble.

Skiers know that. So does the Freeride World Tour.

After a season full of incredible lines and heartbreaking bails, the circuit is reflecting on the moments when everything went wrong. Included are the kinds of crashes that are worth watching over and over. Luckily, you won't have to do that.

The FWT has every angle, from drones hovering above to POV shots that show what the skiers saw before they dove headfirst into the snow.

Check out the slams below.

The FWT can, at times, feel like a slot machine. Skill and perseverance are clearly important. But on ever-changing mountain faces, the slightest bit of bad luck can tank a podium-contending line.

Just look at the skiers who crashed in this video. Justine-Dufour Lapointe, who's always a first-place threat. WeiTien Ho, who skied one of the gnarliest link-ups we've ever seen. Kelly Hilleke, a skier who's almost sure to become a household name.

You can be the best skier on the planet, but during a freeride competition run, you're always on the knife-edge between success and failure.

That's part of the fun, though, for skiers and fans. Few events tap into raw adrenaline in the way that FWT does. And as this video proves, the crashes can be just as exciting as the wins-provided our favorite skiers walk away in one piece.

The FWT is all wrapped up for the season. As with every season for the past few years, it saw a steady increase in talent among the competitors. These days, almost everyone in the field has a shot at taking the win. And with a roster now bolstered by talented rookies and returning champions, the upcoming winter should be no different.

We just feel lucky to have the insanity beamed into our computer screens multiple times each season. I've said it before, but I'll say it again: there's never been a better time for freeride fans.
