Soccer’s Premier League fan fest is coming to Kansas City. Here’s how to attend

The most-watched soccer league in the world is coming to Kansas City. The “Kansas City Live!” area in the Power and Light District, to be exact.

NBC announced Sunday that the Premier League Mornings Live and Premier League Fan Fest will visit KC over the Sept. 20-21 weekend. The Kansas City stop will take place during the broadcast of the English Premier League’s opening-weekend matchup: Arsenal vs. Manchester United.

The fan fest has made recent stops in Nashville and Chicago. It has previously visited Washington D.C, New York City, Boston, Austin, Miami, Los Angeles and Philadelphia.

The Premier League Mornings show will broadcast live from KC’s P&L, as well, featuring player meet-and-greets, viewing of the Premier League Trophy and other activities.

Marquee Premier League matches scheduled for Sept. 20-21 include the famed Merseyside Derby — Everton vs. Liverpool. It kicks off the weekend at 6:30 a.m. Central Time on Friday, Sept. 20.

Manchester United and Chelea — two of the giants, or Big Six, in the Premier League — play at 11:30 a.m. CT.

Manchester City and Arsenal plat at 10:30 a.m. KC time on Sunday. Another match of intrigue and U.S. popularity features Tottenham vs. Brighton Hove and Albion on Saturday at 9 a.m. CT.
