ESPN to bring SportsCenter to Kansas City, Wichita in ’50 states in 50 days’ tour
ESPN is taking SportsCenter on the road this summer, with a 50 states in 50 days tour, and the stops include Kansas City and Wichita.
In Kansas City, the cable sports network will bring its anchors, production crew and cameras to CPKC Stadium, home of the Kansas City Current, with plans to highlight the Premier Lacrosse League and Women’s Professional Lacrosse League All-Star Games.
The All-Star weekend is set for July 4-5, with the women’s game played on Friday night and the men’s game on Saturday at CPKC Stadium. It’s the first time the professional leagues of men’s and women’s lacrosse have held their all-star games together, and it will be the first time in Kansas City for the leagues.
SportsCenter will broadcast from CPKC Stadium on July 5, with Christine Williamson as the host.
Kevin Negandhi will be the ESPN host from Wichita on July 11, when SportsCenter will set up at Intrust Bank Arena for the Dude Perfect Tour — a blend of sports, trick shots and more.
