Week ahead: Events for the week of Oct. 20

Tuesday

TIGER CLUB LUNCHEON: Martin Rucker, former Mizzou tight end, will be the guest for the meeting. The lunch buffet begins at 11:30 a.m., and the program is at noon at the Westport Flea Market, 817 Westport Road; KCTigerClub.com.

KC CATBACKERS: Former Kansas State tight end Brad Seib will address the KC Catbackers at Lucky Brewgrille, 5401 Johnson Drive in Mission; happy hour is at 5:30 and Meyer will speak at 6 p.m.

WORLD SERIES WATCH PARTY: There will be a free watch party at the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum, starting at 6 p.m.

Wednesday

READING AROUND THE BASES: At the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum, Sharon Robinson will read to students from Faxon Elementary School at 10 a.m. and participate in a public question-and-answer session about her father, Jackie Robinson. Program is free with paid admission to the museum.

ROYAL MEMORIES: Frank White, Willie Wilson and Danny Jackson will share memories of their World Series title run in 1985 and share thoughts about the 2014 Royals at the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum. The program begins at 11:30 a.m. and is free with paid admission to the museum.

Saturday

MONSTER DASH: The 5K run is at 7 p.m. at the City Market; www.kcmonsterdash.com.
