Kansas City Roos basketball teams beat North Dakota
Both Kansas City Roos basketball teams beat North Dakota in Summit League games on Thursday.
The Roos women came from behind to win 71-61 at Swinney Center in Kansas City for their eighth straight victory.
Brooklyn McDavid led KC (21-5, 11-4), scoring 21 of her season-high-tying 29 points in the second half against the Fighting Hawks (15-12, 9-7). The Roos are three games back of conference leaders South Dakota and South Dakota State (14-1) with three games to play, including games against both.
The Roos men finished a season sweep of the Fighting Hawks (6-22, 2-13) with an 80-65 victory in Grand Forks, North Dakota. KC (17-10, 10-5) had four players finish in double-figure scoring, led by Evan Gilyard’s 19 points. Josiah Allick had a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds.
KC is in fourth place in the Summit, a game behind third-place Oral Roberts, with three games to play.
