KC Mavericks update: Mavs beat Oilers on road, split a pair with Iowa on home ice

Here is what is going on with the Kansas City Mavericks ECHL minor-league hockey team this week.

Last week’s recap

The Mavericks (10-13-1) traveled to Tulsa last Wednesday and beat the Oilers 5-3. Theo Calvas scoring his first professional goal for the Mavs.

The Mavericks then played host to the Iowa Heartlanders last weekend — Military Appreciation Weekend — at Cable Dahmer Arena in Independence.

The Mavs beat the Heartlanders 3-1 on Friday night, but fell to the Heartlanders 3-2 on Saturday.

Upcoming games

The Mavericks travel to Iowa to face the Heartlanders again this Sunday, Dec. 26.

New Year’s Eve

The next Mavericks home game is on New Years Eve at Cable Dahmer Arena.
